So I finally decided to try out the coloured hair trend, it only took me about 3 years! One thing I love about the world of extensions, is that I can change my hair almost as much as I change my make-up style (OK, maybe that’s not the best example as I’ve probably been doing a cat-eye for about five years now). It’s always funny to see how it confuses the people around me, my housemates are used to seeing my wig conditioning in the bath now but initially, there may have been a few hushed conversations along the line of ‘It was long last week, short yesterday and now it’s long again?’ Even though I’ve had a complicated relationship with my hair in the past, now I just like to have fun with it. I quite like that I can look like a different person every few months and tap into another side of my personality. I even considered getting a tattoo for all of twenty minutes (I’m too indecisive, mate) and feel a lot more defiant on the streets of London. Blue hair don’t care!
I’d been wanting to try this look out for a while after seeing Shope rocking turquoise over on Instagram. Being the cackhanded person I am, I knew that I wouldn’t be able to do it myself, so Sleek kindly recommended some hair that was easier to dye and I tried out a new hairdresser discovered via Instagram. Already I’m thinking that purple and rainbow hair could be on the cards! I guess my hair signifies what I’m going through in a way and in a way, it’s now or never for a lot of things. I’m determined to keep this New Year mentality until at least June, who’s with me?
