Sometimes, I like to go for the super girly look. Yes Mum, I know you’re probably screaming with delight (and I’m sure that posting my prettiest look on Mother’s Day will probably go down a right treat). I love the fact that my style can flit from colour maven, to wannabe Scandi before arriving at retro starlet within a few posts. Talk about eclectic! My Carven obsession has been going strong ever since the label was revived a few years ago, so you can imagine the happy dance I did when I heard that there would be a La Redoute collaboration. The brand is quirky, girly and you can guarantee a dreamy colour palette every season (this capsule collection evokes the spirit of travel with reds, pastels and khaki tones). I could quite happily wear it every day!
Much of the range is inspired by air-hostess uniforms, so it’s pretty fitted. I went for more of a fluid skater dress instead (surprise surprise) purely because the print is so eye-catching and the all-over pleating gives it such an interesting texture. If you’re cleavage-averse and scared of a deep v, then it’s worth adding a poloneck underneath. If anyone asks, you’re going for a retro look. It also helps to make things more March-appropriate (I’m also wearing nude tights so don’t worry) but it’ll be nice to be a little more carefree in the Summer. Please hurry up already, I’m getting bored of coats and tights now!
