I’ve built so many friendships and connections over the 8 years I’ve been writing IWYTK and my mind often remembers the ‘glory days’. You know, the excitement at events when you’d meet a blogger you’d been chatting to for ages and had so much non-SEO-what-the-hell-is-bounce-rate related stuff in common with. I was reminded about this when I went to Lauren’s fundraiser last month (she’s documenting her breast cancer journey FYI). She’d brought together so many people from the blogging community and it was so amazing to see everyone in one room showing their support. We have so much power and resources at our fingertips, we just need to make it happen.
So what happens next? I’ve created a little mailing list for this ‘IRL blogger support group’, so make sure you sign up and I’ll be releasing details when I have them figured out (no spam, I promise). It’ll most likely take place in London in late Jan/early Feb and will be focused on strengthening the community and trying to shape the year ahead. Let me know if you fancy helping out with logistics and watch this space!
