The colourful hair is back! It’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a while and I think that switching up my hue came at the right time. Although I had a clear posting focus for Black History Month in October, everything has gone slightly out the window over the past two weeks. The bad habits are creeping in (hello procrastination scrolling) and I’ve had to overdose on my podcast prescription to get myself back on track.
A visit to Stylist Live the other day helped me rethink everything a little. It’s impossible not to feel inspired by the amazing speakers, businesses and even the women you get chatting to in the cheesy pasta queue. I was also on the CollectPlus stand for a few hours feeling like a bit like Santa, chatting about everything from figuring out your style to finding your blogging niche.
Telling my blogging story over and over again made me think of how everything has evolved on IWYTK. In December 2008 I started blogging as I was obsessed with knitwear design and leggings (what a combo) and now I’m aiming for something more multifaceted. I’m still interested in leggings (albeit only for the gym), but also self-improvement and understanding the world we live in. I’m hoping that some of these reads I’ve recommended will do just that if you’ve hit a plateau or need another viewpoint on an important topic. Now it’s time for me to start taking some of my own advice and power through until the end of the year!
